A lot of us cyclists have old bikes that we used to ride or have replaced with newer bikes for whatever reason.

You don't have to have a reason - N+1 LOL

Question is: Do you keep your old bikes or try to get rid of them?

I keep mine. I have two mountain bikes and 2 road bikes that just sit around and take it easy these days

I have 2 Specialized helmets. I have one for road and gravel biking. I also have one for mountain biking that I love!

Do you do any off-bike fitness or training that helps with your cycling routines?

I got into trail running last year and even ran my first half-marathon. I'm training this year for a 50K trail run. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time - haha. I am also a big hiker and backpacker. I hike every weekend and try to do overnight backpacking when it's a bit warmer outside.

I feel my trail running and hiking complement my cycling routines.

How about you all? What off-bike fitness are you into?

My cycling account, for some reason, draws in a lot of folks in the United Kingdom. So much that people I'm from there. I'm an American, LOL.

But anyway, LTNs are the big topic there. Low Traffic Neighborhoods.

Basically, the limit vehicle traffic to make is safer for residents to walk and ride their bikes.

Some people are highly in favor of this, and they say it increases safety for non-vehicle users. However, others are highly against it and say it is pushing more traffic in congested areas and creates more safety concerns than it makes it safe.

I'm interested in what you all think about LTNs? Please keep the debate friendly (it's not always a friendly debate on X) and try to post things to back up your claims!

This is my other cycling forum, but it's specific to Southern Illinois, where I live. I made this forum (Beginner Cyclists) for everyone.

Do any of you wear cycling knickers?

There are 3/4 tights or bib tights. They leave a little bit of your leg exposed. They're not full-length tights, but they're longer than shorts.

I wear them on cooler days where full tights are too much, but shorts are a bit cold.

How about you all?
